I’ve been thinking a lot about the abandoned house on Durkee Avenue where Stone and the other two boys were shot. It's really concerning that these empty buildings are being used for such dangerous activities. I wonder what steps the community can take to prevent these places from becoming crime hotspots? There must be ways to either secure or repurpose these spaces to ensure they don't pose a threat to residents. My heart goes out to the families of Stone, Jason, and the young boy fighting for his life at MetroHealth. No one should have to experience such loss. I hope the investigation brings some closure and that this tragedy leads to meaningful change in the neighborhood. Any ideas on what actions might help address the issue of these vacant properties?

I've been following the tragic case on Durkee Avenue, and it's just so difficult to wrap my head around how such senseless violence happened, especially on a night like Halloween which should have been filled with fun and celebration. My heart goes out to Stone Robinson's family and friends, and I can't imagine the pain they're enduring right now. What's been bothering me is the issue of abandoned houses in the neighborhood. It seems like these places so easily become settings for these horrific acts. Maybe it's time for the local authorities and the community to come together to find ways to secure or repurpose these spaces to prevent them from being used for such harmful purposes. Has anyone local had any insight into steps the community might be taking to address these abandoned properties? Would love to hear if there's any movement in terms of policy or funding to tackle this pressing issue.
