I keep thinking about the passenger in Savon's car, Todd Hammond Jr., and how lucky he was to escape with minor injuries. It’s hard to imagine the trauma he must be going through after such a devastating event. Not only did he witness his friend’s tragic death, but he also survived a crash and fire that could have easily taken his life as well. I hope Todd has a strong support system around him right now because dealing with that kind of trauma must be incredibly tough. Sending lots of positive thoughts his way and hoping he gets the help he needs to heal from this. If anyone knows more about how he’s doing or if there’s a way to reach out with support, please share.

I recently came across Savon Pullie’s case, and it struck me how random and senseless violence can utterly change lives. Reading about the aftermath of the incident – particularly the fire that was sparked when the car crashed into that townhome – really made me think about the ripple effects of such a tragedy. How many additional lives were impacted that day, from those who lived in those homes to the first responders on the scene? I can’t even begin to imagine the panic and fear they must have experienced. Seeing the way the community has rallied together, especially with the memorial for Savon, highlights the strength in unity during such devastating times. It’s evident that he was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. This case is such a reminder of how valuable and precious each life is. Keeping Savon's family and friends in my thoughts and hoping for some semblance of peace for everyone involved.
