It's so upsetting to see yet another young life taken by such senseless violence, and my heart goes out to Davell Lawson's family and friends. I've been following his case since it happened, and I wanted to talk about the role local organizations are playing in supporting the community. I think Cleveland's Black on Black Crime Inc. is doing crucial work by providing a platform and advocacy for families like Lawson's. Their involvement sheds light on the lack of effective communication and support from the authorities, which seems to be an ongoing issue. It's encouraging to see them organizing community meetings and rallies to tackle the broader issues of gun violence and systemic problems that contribute to these tragedies. There’s a need for a stronger partnership between community organizations and law enforcement to bring about meaningful change. Has anyone here been involved in or attended any of the community meetings or rallies? I'd love to hear more about what they're doing to push for substantial action and how we might support these efforts from within or outside the community. It's high time for change, and it begins with a united front.
