Hey everyone, I've been following Heather Bloom’s case, and something that's really puzzling to me is the 5-year delay before Heather was reported missing. I understand there might have been communication issues between Phyllis and the authorities, but it seems like a long time for someone with Heather’s medical needs to not be noticed by a professional or neighbor, especially since Heather relies on medication and a wheelchair. Does anyone know if there were prior welfare checks or any involvement from social services during that period? It's hard to believe there were no red flags earlier. Just trying to piece together how someone in such a vulnerable position could go unnoticed for so long. Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone’s seen something similar before.

Have any of you been following the case of Heather Bloom? I was just re-reading some older articles and realized something about the timeline. We know that Phyllis reported Heather missing in 2009, but there was no action taken until authorities found Shari in 2010. That's practically a whole year where Heather's whereabouts were under the radar! Why did it take so long to track Shari down, and was there any follow-up on where Heather might have been during that time? It’s baffling to me. Anyone have theories on why there was such a significant delay? Could this lost time have made it even harder to find Heather?

I'm really puzzled by the timeline in Heather's case. Why would it take Phyllis until 2009 to report her missing when the last confirmed sighting was in 2005? There must be some piece of their family dynamics that we are missing here. I understand losing contact can be difficult, but four years is a long time. I wonder if Shari was ever involved in any local community support groups for individuals with disabilities in Berkley—maybe someone from those circles has some insight? I think diving deeper into their social connections and any linked support services during those years might unveil more clues. It's been so long, but I'm hopeful someone has a piece of info that can help.
