Has anyone else been digging into what really happened with Sharon Ann Martin's case? It's been bothering me how her remains have never been found, despite Docherty's conviction. I read somewhere that investigators suspected someone else might have been involved due to the size of her estate. Could there be a financial motive here? I mean, it seems odd that someone would go to such lengths with no direct connection to the money. Could Docherty have been working with someone else who hasn't been caught yet? Curious if any locals have heard any rumors or if there's been any new leads since Docherty's release. It's been so many years, but maybe someone will come forward with new information.
Has anyone else been struck by the fact that Sharon Ann Martin's car was never reported as missing or out of place during the whole investigation? It seems unusual considering her background in the Air Force and her job responsibilities; you'd think she'd be meticulous about her belongings. Is there any chance Docherty moved it to not draw attention, or did it ever play a role in the timeline leading up to her disappearance? I haven’t come across any mention of it in the resources or discussions I’ve seen so far. Wondering if anyone else noticed this or if I missed something in the files.
