Has anyone else been following the recent updates on Dalan Hardin Oulds-Wellman's case? It’s been nearly four years since that tragic night outside the Story Lounge, and I can’t even begin to imagine what his family has been through all this time. The fact that they arrested Gvon Thornton, and have charges against him and Aaron Clark, must feel like some form of closure for his loved ones. One thing that really strikes me about this case is how vital the role of surveillance footage was. The images released back in 2022 did more than just circulate in media—they played a pivotal part in identifying key suspects and eventually catching Thornton. It makes you appreciate how important those pieces of technology are in piecing together these tragic puzzles. But what about Marquis Smith? Knowing that he's still at large is unsettling. I'm hoping with the community’s and authorities' continued efforts, he too will be caught soon. Justice for Dalan and peace for his family is all anyone can hope for now. Any local members here have thoughts on how this might unfold next?

I've been following Dalan's case for a while now, and it's been such a difficult journey for his family and the community. It's so sad to think about how someone so young, with such a promising future, was taken away so violently. The recent arrest of Gvon Thornton is a step in the right direction, but I can't stop thinking about what must be going through the minds of Dalan’s family as they waited all these years for answers. What really strikes me is the role of surveillance footage in this case. It's amazing to see how community cooperation and advances in technology can help bring about justice, even after years have passed. Those pictures were crucial in identifying potential suspects, and I hope this encourages businesses and people in local areas to continue supporting law enforcement in these ways. Still, there's no denying that the long wait must have been incredibly frustrating and painful for everyone who loved him. It also makes me wonder about what more can be done to prevent things like this in the future. My heart goes out to Dalan’s family and friends, and I sincerely hope that they’ll find some peace as the legal process moves forward. And fingers crossed, they can soon bring Marquis Smith into custody, too.
