I’ve been thinking about the unsolved murder of Walter Forbes lately, and it really breaks my heart that his family still doesn’t have answers after all these years. From what I’ve read, he was leaving a friend’s place and heading to his van when he was shot. It just makes you wonder—what was going through the mind of the shooter? How could someone plan something so evil? I've seen cases like this go cold because people are afraid to speak up, and it frustrates me so much. We have a lot of good people in Detroit who just want their neighborhoods to be safe and to bring peace for families like Walter’s. I truly hope that someone who knows something finds the courage to come forward. Walter deserves justice, and his family deserves closure. It’s up to us as a community to help make that happen. If you know anything, please contact the authorities or Crime Stoppers. Every tip, no matter how small, could make a big difference.

Has anyone else been looking into the intersection of Manistee and what was happening in that area around the time of the incident? I’ve been researching local crime patterns, and it seems like there had been an uptick in violence there. It’s just awful to think about Walter Forbes losing his life in what seems like such a calculated ambush. The fact that he was just leaving a friend's house when this tragic event occurred really hits home about how quickly things can change. I keep hoping that someone in the neighborhood saw something that night or remembers an unusual occurrence that could provide the authorities with a lead. Walter’s family and friends deserve answers and closure. Please, if anyone has any insight or can share experiences related to that area, do step forward. We owe it to Walter and his loved ones to find some form of resolution.
