I came across some information today that made me think about the impact this has had on Mar'Viyah's classmates and friends. In the aftermath of such a senseless tragedy, we often discuss the broader community and the legal system's response, but what about the little ones? Losing a friend in such a violent way must have been incredibly confusing and scary for kids her age. I hope the schools have good support systems in place for them. It's important for these children to have the space to express their fears and feelings, and to ensure they know they're safe. Does anyone know if any initiatives were taken in the local schools to support the kids? It's so significant to protect their emotional well-being too.
