Hey everyone,
I've been following Jasmine Johnson's case for a while, and something that's been on my mind is the role of surveillance cameras in situations like these. I know the area she lived in isn't exactly covered wall-to-wall with cameras, but with so many homes having doorbell cameras and businesses using CCTV, I wonder how much footage the police have been able to collect. Could there be additional cameras nearby that haven't been checked yet?
It's really devastating to think that someone could do something so awful and just drive away, leaving her family in such pain. Maybe there's someone in that neighborhood who's got footage but doesn’t realize it captures something important. If I lived near there, I’d be combing through any recordings just to help out. Maybe if we keep talking about this and keeping the case in the public eye, it might jog someone's memory or prompt them to check their own cameras. Jasmine and her family deserve answers.
What do you all think about the use of surveillance in this case? Do you believe that it could help bring new leads?
I've been keeping up with Jasmine Johnson's case, and my heart goes out to her family and friends. It pains me to see such a beautiful life taken so abruptly. I visited Columbus a few times and it feels close to home, her story truly resonates with me. I've been thinking a lot about the details surrounding the shooting. It’s a shame that it happened so early in the evening when people are usually engaging in their evening routines.
Republic Avenue should be a safe place, not somewhere this horrendous act can just happen out of nowhere. Is anyone familiar with the area who can share insights? Sometimes, local perspectives help shed light on things that outsiders may overlook. Jasmine's mom, Sharon, must be going through a kind of pain no parent should ever endure. I hope those with any information come forward soon. Justice for Jasmine is long overdue, and as a community, we need to keep her story alive and ensure her family finds some semblance of peace. Stay strong, everyone.
