Just came across some details about the trial and it really hit me hard. During Arthur Smith’s trial, when Morris’ family spoke, you could just feel the weight of their loss. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they’re going through, losing someone like Antwan who was so community-minded and generous. The fact that he was working on a house for his nephew speaks volumes about his character.
Smith's actions, not just during the incident but afterwards too, show such a complete disregard for life. For him to try and plan another murder while in custody absolutely chills me. It’s unsettling to think of the lack of remorse.
Hoping that some sense of peace comes to the Morris family over time, even though I know the scars will never fully heal. How senseless and avoidable this all was. Sending thoughts to his children and everyone impacted by this tragedy.
I've been following Antwan Morris' case, and I can't help but feel deeply for his family. His murder is a tragic loss for everyone who knew him. In particular, the detail about the house he was building for his sister's autistic son really touched me. It shows what a kind, giving person he was, always willing to lend a hand. The fact that he didn't get to see this project through is just another layer of pain for his loved ones. It makes you wonder, was there anyone around who might finish what Antwan started as a tribute to his memory? It seems like a fitting way to honor someone who gave so much of himself to others. Keeping his family in my thoughts as they navigate these difficult times.
