I've been following the case of Derrick L. Samuels Jr., and I just can't stop thinking about how his family must feel not having answers after all this time. It's shocking that in a moment, a family’s life can be turned upside down, and they’re left in a seemingly endless cycle of grief and confusion. As the 177th homicide of the year for Columbus, I wonder if the sheer number of cases has stretched the resources of the police department too thin, making it even harder to solve. I hope people in the community will come forward with any information they might have, no matter how small it seems. It's disheartening that such a significant and tragic case remains unsolved for so long. My thoughts go out to Derrick’s loved ones as they continue to wait for justice and closure.
