I can't stop thinking about the bravery of little Demetrius Wall-Neal in those last moments. It breaks my heart to imagine a child faced with such fear, yet finding the courage to try and protect his sister, Londynn. This says so much about his love and big brother instincts at such a young age. It's haunting to think of what those two little ones went through, and it makes me hope even more that justice will eventually catch up with the perpetrators. I can't imagine the pain their mother must be going through, losing not one, but two of her children in such a horrific way. It's stories like this that make me realize how deeply violence cuts into the community, and how important it is for people to come forward with information—no matter how small it seems. The families involved deserve closure, and so do the community members who have been affected. Let's keep their memory alive and support Brittany Jones in her efforts to bring about change.
