Hey everyone, I've been thinking about the tragic case of Raphael Pitts and how it fits into the larger picture of Detroit's struggle with unsolved homicides. It's so frustrating to see the impact of limited law enforcement resources in pursuing these cases. It's not just a matter of numbers; it's the lives of people like Raphael and their families left in limbo, waiting for any piece of information that could lead to justice. The fact that there are over 8,000 unsolved cases since 1980 is staggering and really shines a light on how deep-rooted the issue is. I really appreciate the efforts the Detroit Police Department and community groups are putting into solving these cases. Anyone else feel like the cold case webpage is a great resource? And how do you feel about the potential for new forensic techniques to change the game in solving these crimes? Hoping that one day soon, those affected by violence, including Raphael’s loved ones, will find some peace and closure. Would love to hear your thoughts. Stay safe, everyone.
