I keep thinking about the impact on Max’s children. Losing their dad so suddenly must be incredibly difficult for them and the family. It's too easy to forget about the ripple effects such a horrible event can have on young lives. I hope that they have a strong support system around them to help navigate this loss. Dealing with such tragedy at such a young age is unimaginable. I’m sure Max was doing his best to provide for and be present in their lives. It's cases like these that bring home just how much communities need to rally around those who are left behind. Would love to hear if the community has any initiatives in place to support families affected by such violence.
