Was just thinking about Samuel J. Mitchell’s case again today and how little progress seems to have been made over the years. It’s so frustrating and saddening that despite there being witnesses, the person who did this is still walking free. Every time I walk past 26th Street, I can't help but think about how Samuel was just starting his life when it was taken from him in such a tragic way. It’s a scary reminder of how quickly things can change and how much still needs to be done to get justice. I applaud the SFPD for the $50,000 reward, but it’s baffling that no one has come forward yet. To everyone who knew Samuel, my heart goes out to you. Let's hope that someday soon, someone will have the courage to share what they know and help bring some peace to his family. If anyone’s even slightly aware of something, no matter how insignificant it might seem, please speak up.
