Did anyone else read about the video evidence in the Bobby Daniels case? I can't stop thinking about how crucial that video surveillance was in linking Anthony Edward Smith to the shooting. It's terrifying to think he was on the run for over a year! The technology we have today is so important for solving these cases, but it’s hard to imagine what it must have been like for Bobby’s family waiting for answers. I truly hope they find some comfort in the fact that Smith is finally in custody and that justice might be served. My heart goes out to them during this incredibly difficult time.
Hello. Where did you see anything about video evidence?

MD, the article here references that they found video surveillance evidence which led to the arrest of Anthony Edward Smith, a 41 year old man from Trotwood. It looks like he was acquitted of the charges of murder and assault but was convicted for carrying a concealed weapon and was sentenced to 3 years in prison receiving credit for 572 days already served.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the details of this case to know if that was justice served or not. Maybe someone else has more details on the trial. Evidently they claimed self-defense but that seems very strange for a guy who fled the scene and then remained on the run for over a year! Sounds like he had a very good attorney or a bad jury or maybe both.

FYI a lot of the information on this case was outdated and they didn't have the updates about the trial etc. I had sent a ticket in the provide more info area and they updated it within about 3 hours so kudos the site staff!

I came across this case and couldn't help but think about the impact it must have had on Bobby Daniels' community. Being shot while just doing something as routine as cutting the grass is unimaginable. It's a small comfort that Anthony Smith is finally in custody, but it’s hard to grasp the sense of violation and fear such violence brings to a neighborhood.
Bobby’s sister, Toni, seems like an incredibly strong person, speaking out for her brother and keeping the push for justice alive. It makes me realize how important it is for families to have that support system when going through such a tragedy. I hope the legal process moves swiftly and brings some peace to Bobby's family and friends. In the meantime, does anyone know if there are any local initiatives or community gatherings being held in his memory? I think coming together as a community can help heal some of the hurt.
