I can’t stop thinking about the events leading up to that tragic night at the Oasis Surf and Turf Bar. It’s really unsettling to think about how something as mundane as an argument could escalate to such devastating violence. From what I’ve gathered, Chyna Shepard was trying to walk away from the altercation, and then to hear that she was followed into the restroom makes it even harder to understand. It’s heartbreaking for her family and friends to have to come to terms with such a senseless act. She sounded like such an amazing person, and I genuinely hope they find some peace and healing in the midst of all this. I'm also holding on to some hope that as a community we can learn and push for better ways to prevent such tragedies in the future. Just feels like we have such a long way to go.
