I just can't get over the fact that Eva Knox, or as many of us fondly knew her, "Silly Sally," was such a vibrant part of our community. Her contributions to the Vandalia Butler Schools' transportation safety as Silly Sally were more than just a job; it was a way to keep our kids safe and educate them in a fun and memorable way. It truly hit me when I was talking to a friend whose children still remember her antics with fondness, recalling how she made something as serious as bus safety engaging and memorable. It goes to show how one person's dedication can have a lasting impact on young lives. My heart really goes out to her surviving family and everyone struggling with the absence of such a cherished figure. As the legal process unfolds, I hope it brings some form of closure to all who are left in this unimaginable situation. May there be justice for Eva, Clyde, Sarah, and young Kayla—and may they all rest in peace.
