Hey everyone, I've been following Shirmarkco Carson's case and something that's been on my mind is the role of community in solving these cold cases. It’s frustrating that so many families, like Markie's, are left waiting for answers. I can’t imagine the pain of not knowing what happened to a loved one. It seems like community involvement is crucial in situations like these, especially with the barriers our local law enforcement is facing. I’ve read about several community-led initiatives that have been supporting the Detroit Police Department. It's heartening to see groups stepping up to assist, bringing people together to share any piece of information they might have. On top of that, there are pushes for increased funding and enhancement of forensic capabilities, which could be game changers. Has anyone here been involved in these efforts or know more about how citizens can assist further? I feel like the more we amplify our voices and work together, the better the chance of bringing some peace to Shirmarkco's family and others in similar situations. Markie's murder might be a part of a larger issue, but every small effort counts in bringing justice to these families. Thoughts? Stay safe, everyone.
