I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the family of Patrol Sergeant Gregory Keith Martin. It's hard to imagine the pain his wife and kids have gone through over the years. Losing a husband and father is unfathomable, especially in such a sudden and violent manner. I can't help but think about those three kids growing up without their dad, especially knowing he's remembered as a dedicated officer and a loving family man. Seeing the bridge named in his honor is a moving tribute, but at the same time, it’s a reminder of the tremendous loss they’ve endured. I hope that, over the years, they’ve been able to find some solace in the fact that his killer was brought to justice, even though nothing can truly fill the void left behind. The memory of Sergeant Martin’s service and the dedication to protecting his community will never be forgotten. Anyone else here find it comforting to know that even amidst such tragedy, communities can come together to honor those we've lost?
