I've been thinking a lot about the role that the media played during the legal proceedings following Corene Davis's death. It's just so unsettling to remember how much public interest there was and how every little detail was scrutinized. I can't imagine what her family and friends must have gone through with the spotlight on such a private tragedy. I hope that the widespread coverage at least brought more attention to the dire need for addressing domestic violence issues. If anything positive can emerge from this senseless act, maybe it's that more people will become aware and proactive about preventing similar situations. Sending thoughts to all who continue to feel the impact of losing Corene.
