It's so haunting to think about what Deana Prince must have gone through. I've been following her case for a while now and can't stop thinking about the weapon used in the crime. Guns seem to be a tragically common factor in domestic disputes that escalate to violence, as it did in Deana's case. It makes me wonder, could stricter regulations on firearm access for individuals with a history of domestic violence make a difference? I really hope the legislative changes after her death included measures like this. My heart truly goes out to her family and friends who are left to cope with this unimaginable loss. It’s yet another reminder of how urgent it is to address the interlinked issues of gun violence and domestic abuse.
