I was revisiting some old cases today and Dexter Xavier Johnson's story truly stands out for its tragic circumstances and the way it affected his community in Rocky Mount. I never knew Dexter personally, but from what I've read and heard from locals, he was someone who brought warmth and light to those around him. Knowing that his case still remains unsolved after all these years is so frustrating and sad. It's a shame that his family and friends have had to live without answers for so long. I can't imagine the ongoing pain they must feel.
It really makes you hope someone out there remembers something that could bring new life to this case. The community deserves to see Dexter's murder solved and those responsible brought to justice. If you have any information, even something seemingly small, please consider reporting it. Every little detail can help. Dexter's loved ones need closure, and the $15,000 reward should be a good incentive for anyone who knows something to come forward. I was just reading through the details of Dexter Xavier Johnson's murder, and it's so troubling to think about how long his family has gone without answers. One thing I’ve been pondering is the location of the shooting. The Grand Food Market seems like a public place; was anyone else around at that time? It was nearly midnight, sure, but it’s a market—there had to have been people nearby, or maybe even surveillance cameras that could have caught something. It's frustrating to think there could be potential witnesses or footage that might have slipped through the cracks back then. My heart goes out to his family, who must be living in such agony not knowing what truly happened. Let’s hope someone comes forward with new info soon. ?️

I noticed people organizing community events aimed at generating more leads and raising awareness about unsolved cases like Dexter's. It's really inspiring to see how people have come together, but it's equally frustrating that they still don't have closure. I hope sharing his story more widely will eventually lead to someone coming forward with information. No family should have to go through this kind of pain without justice.
