I've been following Simeka Andrea Daughtridge's case, and my heart truly goes out to her family and friends. One thing that continues to trouble me is the role of the children during that awful evening. I can only imagine the trauma and confusion they must have experienced, hearing the argument and the subsequent gunshot. It’s a grim reminder of how domestic violence not only affects the direct victims but also everyone around them, especially the innocent children who are caught in the crossfire. It's crucial for us as a community to find ways to support these kids in any way we can. Has there been any information on how they're doing now or if they received any counseling or support after the incident? Would love to hear any updates or suggestions on how to better provide for children in these situations. They deserve a chance to heal and move forward, away from such tragic memories.
