Has anyone looked into the details surrounding that checkpoint on Highway 77? I can't stop thinking there might be more to it. With most of the group making it through, I've been wondering if Sergio or someone near him might have had a reason to take a different route or something happened that caused him to stay behind. Given the lack of communication after that point, it's eerie. Also, I wonder if there might be any surveillance footage from trucks or nearby facilities at that checkpoint. It could potentially offer any tiny clue. I know it’s a long shot, especially all these years later, but sometimes even the smallest detail can turn the tide in these missing persons cases. Anyone who knows how State checkpoints handle this type of info? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I have been following Sergio Avalos' case and something that's been bothering me is the checkpoint the group supposedly encountered on Highway 77. Does anyone know if it’s common for people trying to cross to the U.S. to encounter checkpoints there? I wonder if anything unusual happened at that point, like increased law enforcement presence or unexpected detours. It's odd that there are no specific details about which checkpoint they ran into. That whole area has multiple checkpoints, and I’m curious if any significant incidents were reported around Sergio's disappearance. If anyone has insight into the operations at Highway 77 checkpoints during that time, it might help piece together some parts of his journey. Worth digging into, I think.
