I’ve been reflecting on Tara Osborne’s case and can't shake the memory of her vibrant presence in the Lincolnton community. From what neighbors and friends have shared, she was such a kind soul, always ready to lend a helping hand. It’s chilling to think about how these horrors can unfold behind closed doors. Her tragic death has been a real wake-up call for all of us. It’s more crucial than ever that we keep an eye out for signs of domestic distress in our communities. Our support networks need to be strong and visible so that anyone suffering knows they’re not alone. How can we do a better job at this? Both in terms of policy and within our own neighborhoods? I think we owe it to Tara to continue this conversation.
