Hello everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that incidents like the one involving Pertina Isley Tatum and her family have on the wider community. It's been years since that sad day in May 2014, and I can't help but wonder how the neighborhood on Burtner Street has been coping. Events like this leave a mark on more than just the immediate family. I remember reading that the police were asking for information back then. I hope those who came forward were able to find some peace knowing they helped piece together what happened. The children were taken in by their grandmother, which makes me think about the incredible resilience needed from extended family during such devastating times. Has anyone heard if there have been community efforts to offer continued support or counseling to families affected by similar tragedies? It would be comforting to know communities find ways to support each other long-term after such losses. Sending thoughts to anyone who’s experienced something similar.
