I can't imagine the heartache that Marquis's mother, ShaRhonda Feamster-Steele, must be going through. To endure the loss of two children to senseless gun violence is unimaginable. It just makes you wonder how many more families have to go through this before we see real change. It's truly upsetting that, even after all these years, no one has stepped forward with information. I keep hoping that someone out there has the courage to speak up. This community deserves peace, and Marquis deserves justice. If anyone knows anything, now's the time to come forward. Let's help bring some comfort to his family.
I recently came across the case of Marquis Antonio Feamster, and it's just so upsetting. This young man was only 23 when he was shot and killed on East Fisher Street in Salisbury, NC. It's been years since that terrible day in July 2014, and still, no one has been brought to justice.
One part of his story that's really sticking with me is how his family, especially his mom, ShaRhonda, continues to advocate so tirelessly despite everything. I can’t even begin to imagine the strength it must take to lose two children to gun violence and still find the energy to fight for justice. Marquis's mother believes authorities know who's behind this but are struggling to gather enough evidence. It must be incredibly frustrating for the family to feel like justice is so close, yet so far away.
For anyone reading who might have any information, no matter how small, please consider reaching out to the authorities. It could be the piece of the puzzle they need. Marquis, his family, and the community deserve answers. Let's hope one day soon, this case will be solved, and his family can find some sense of peace.
