As someone who gave so much to others, providing in-home care and even aiding communities overseas, she must have formed deep connections with many people. Has anyone looked into Remington's background leading up to the incident? I wonder what drove him to commit such a senseless crime. I read somewhere that he had a history of petty theft, but this seemed like a massive escalation. It makes me think about the systems in place (or lack thereof) that could have potentially intervened before he resorted to violence. Wendy's story is so tragic; she clearly had an enormous positive impact on her community and family. It’s hard to grasp how someone could so suddenly take another person’s life, especially someone as selfless and caring as Wendy. My heart goes out to her family and all the lives she touched during her mission trips and work as a nurse. Any insight into Remington’s past could help understand if there were missed warning signs.
