I've been reading about the tragic loss of Eva Haynie, and my heart goes out to her students and coworkers who must be devastated by this news. As a teacher myself, I know how much of our heart and soul we pour into our classrooms. Hearing about her dedication to her students makes this all the more gut-wrenching. I can only imagine how her classroom felt like a second home to her. The impact she must have had on her students in those 15 years is probably immeasurable. I'm sending all my thoughts and prayers to her family and friends, and to her students who lost a guiding light and mentor far too soon. It's so hard to understand how something like this could happen, and I just hope that her loved ones find some semblance of peace and support during this unimaginable time.
