I’ve been following Erick Jamaal Neely's case and can't stop thinking about how close-knit his community seemed to be. From what I read about his funeral services, it's clear that Erick was surrounded by people who genuinely cared for him. The New Birth Christian Center must have been packed on February 9th with family and friends paying their respects. It's just so poignant to me that even in such a painful time, there's this strong sense of togetherness. This case makes me reflect on how gun violence impacts not just the victims, but ripples through families and communities, often bringing people closer as they search for ways to heal and honor those they've lost. I truly hope Erick’s family finds peace and feels all the support surrounding them. What are everyone else's thoughts on how communities can come together in the wake of such tragedies?
