Does anyone else find it odd how Ronald Leckenby left all his personal items in the car before disappearing? Most people can't go anywhere without their phone or wallet these days, especially when heading into a remote area like Silver Falls State Park. It just seems strange to me. Was he planning to come back soon? Did he leave them for some specific reason? It's such a risky move to go into the woods without any means of communication or identification. I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on why he'd do that or if it might mean something more in this case.

Just came across the Ronald Leckenby case and couldn’t help but wonder about the situation between him and his son, Pearce, right before Ronald disappeared into the woods. I feel like the comments Ronald made before walking off could hold some clues. Did anyone ever find out what exactly was said? It's just odd that he left everything behind, including his wallet and phone. It's almost like he was planning to come right back or maybe he was in a hurry... but why? I know there's no history of anything questionable, and the authorities haven't ruled anything out, but what if there was something unspoken going on between Ronald and Pearce? It's just one more layer to explore in this puzzling mystery, and it’s been eight years with no answers. Would love to know if anyone has any theories or if more details have come out since the last articles I read!

Did anyone else find it strange that Ronald left his wallet and cell phone behind in the car before he entered the woods? It's like he didn't expect to need them, which seems odd considering he was visiting such a large park. Most people would bring their phones, if nothing else, for emergencies or to take photos. Given that he wasn't known to have any mental health issues that would cause him to act impulsively, I'm really puzzled by this detail. Could he have planned to meet someone out there, or did something unexpected happen after he left Pearce behind? The park must have been busy with visitors around that time, yet no one seems to have spotted him. It's one of those nagging questions that makes his disappearance feel all the more baffling. Wonder if there's anything in Pearce's comments that might give more insight into what Ronald was thinking that day. Has anyone looked into this angle or heard anything more along those lines?
