I’ve been following the case of Haitham Elias since it happened, and something about it just doesn’t add up. It’s so tragic that his life was taken in such a sudden and violent way while he was just sitting in his car. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for his family to grapple with such an unimaginable loss without any closure. It makes me wonder about the circumstances surrounding that Sunoco station at 6 Mile and Mt. Elliot during that time. Was it a busy area? Did anyone see or hear anything unusual before or after the incident? Someone has to know something, even if it seems minor. In cases like these, small details can turn out to be big breaks. I urge anyone who was around there that day to think back and consider if there’s anything they might have witnessed, no matter how insignificant it might seem. Keeping this dialogue open and the story alive is essential in bringing new information to light. My heart goes out to Haitham’s family and friends—hoping they get the answers they so desperately need.
