Has anyone else been following the community response to Journey Kennedy's tragic death? It seems like this incident has really galvanized the community and local officials to take action against the rising crime rates in Lumberton. I read that a town hall forum is being planned to address these issues, which seems like a step in the right direction. It's just devastating that it takes the loss of a young life to bring about such awareness. My heart goes out to Journey's family and friends as they go through this incredibly difficult time. I'm really hoping that the town hall leads to some effective changes and solutions. Does anyone know when and where it's taking place? I'd be interested to see how the community plans to handle this moving forward.

I’ve been following the case of Journey Kennedy and feel so deeply for their family and friends during this unimaginable time. What gets me thinking is the community's response and how folks came together to assist the police in apprehending James Jamar Smith. It really shows the power of community action. But, it makes you wonder about the broader picture of violence in Lumberton and what more can be done to prevent these tragedies from happening in the first place. The town hall meeting sounds like a positive step, but words need to turn into real actions—better public safety resources, community programs, etc. It's important for the residents of Lumberton to feel safe in their own neighborhoods. How do you guys think the town can tackle these issues effectively to ensure a safer community for everyone?
