Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Patrick Simmons? It's so incredibly sad to see such a promising young life cut short. I’ve been thinking a lot about the area where this happened, particularly the Railyard parking lot near Club Lotus. It seems like there's been a history of violence around there that's really concerning. I read that there have been other incidents not too long before Patrick's death. Does anyone know if there’s any movement from the city to improve the safety in that area? It’s heartbreaking to imagine the impact on Patrick’s family and friends, especially his fellow students at ECSU. Taking better safety precautions could prevent another family from going through such a horrible loss.
