Just came across some info about the Maddox trial, and it got me thinking about the bystanders during the whole incident at the Bill Ellis Convention Center. It's so alarming to imagine being present at an event meant for fun and camaraderie, only for it to turn into a tragedy with Kelly Wilkerson losing his life. My heart goes out to those who witnessed such a traumatic event, especially the friends and families of both men involved. It's scary how quickly a situation can escalate, and I hope everyone who was there received the support they needed afterwards. It’s vital that we create spaces for healing and understanding, so incidents like this can hopefully be prevented in the future.
