I’ve been following the McInnis case closely, and something that really stands out to me is the community impact. Laurinburg feels like a small, tight-knit community where everyone knows each other, and this tragedy has undoubtedly shaken everyone to their core. It’s so crucial for everyone to come together to support Rashawn’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I really hope that this incident raises more awareness about the support that victims' families need and how we can all contribute to providing that support, whether through vigils, fundraisers, or other community efforts. This senseless act reminds us of the unpredictable nature of violence and reinforces the importance of community solidarity. My thoughts are with everyone affected, and I hope justice is served swiftly.
