It’s been a few years since we lost Hunter Curtis, and I still think about the impact this tragedy had on his friends and family in Franklin. I recently heard some locals share memories about Hunter and was reminded of the energy he brought to the community. He had such a deep love for music and adventure, especially with his passion for big trucks and dirt bikes. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for those who knew him best to cope with his absence. It's important to continue raising awareness about how tough addiction can be, not just on the individuals, but on their loved ones as well. The real enemy here was the addiction that clouded what might have been a peaceful home. I find it heartening that the family requested donations to Teen Challenge in Hunter’s honor, and I hope it can serve as a path to healing for others who might be struggling. Keeping the Curtis family and their friends in my thoughts today. If anyone here has connections to local resources for families going through similar situations, please share them. Maybe we can help prevent another family from going through this kind of pain.

It's gut-wrenching to think about the chaos and pain that must have been present that night at the Curtis home. Reading about how Monica was the one to call 911 and hearing the distress in her call must have been absolutely devastating. It’s moments like these that remind us how fragile life is and how quickly situations can escalate. I can't imagine the emotional burden she carries from that night. Listening to her son and husband entangled in such a volatile situation, and then witnessing the aftermath, must be a nightmare she relives over and over. I sincerely hope she finds the support and solace she needs from her community and loved ones during this unimaginable time. My heart goes out to her and the rest of the family.
