I’ve been following Candace Pickens’ case since the beginning, and I can't get over how resilient her son, Zachaeus, is. It's nothing short of a miracle that he survived and recovered from such a brutal attack. I can’t even begin to imagine the strength it must take for him and his family to move forward. I often think about how difficult it must be for him growing up, knowing what happened, and I hope he has a strong support system around him. Sending love to his family as they continue navigating life after such an unimaginable event. Candace's story is such a stark reminder of the importance of addressing domestic violence issues and the impacts it has on families. Stay strong, Zachaeus. We're all thinking of you.
