Has anyone else been closely following the case of Virgilio Kaius Johnny? It's been haunting me how there were 25 gunshots reported the night he was killed, yet when the police initially responded, they supposedly found nothing unusual. I'm trying to wrap my head around how something so significant could slip through the cracks. Johnny was described as being a loving father on top of having just lost his wife two months before his murder – his poor son, having to endure this so soon after his mom's passing.
I also can't help wondering if the earlier gun-related incidents at Deaverview Apartments are connected somehow. It feels like a pattern that someone might be exploiting, considering the numerous gun-related reports in the area. How can a community feel safe with that sort of violence happening?

I’ve been thinking about Johnny’s case a lot lately, and I can’t help but wonder about the response time that night. I keep coming back to his son, who just graduated from Erwin Middle School – to lose both a mother and a father in such a short period of time is unimaginable.
