I’ve been following the tragic case of Delilah and John Miles Sr., and something that's been on my mind is the role of the community and neighbors in preventing such tragedies. It's clear that Delilah and John were cherished by those around them, yet the violence they endured unfolded just next door. I'm left wondering if there were signs that neighbors might have noticed or if there were missed opportunities for intervention. How do we encourage open communication in communities to prevent violence before it reaches such a devastating point? My heart goes out to all who were close to them, especially knowing their kindness and the happiness Delilah found in her garden. It’s a somber reminder of how even the most peaceful homes can harbor turmoil. If only their peaceful lives reflected in their relationships too... Thoughts?
