Every time I read about Montez Lamar Wilson's case, I can't help but think about the toll this whole ordeal must be taking on his family. It’s been over seven years now, and the fact that they still have no answers must be unbearable. Can you imagine waiting that long for justice, holding on to hope day after day?
The community’s efforts to remember him and support his family through vigils show how much he was loved. It seems like Montez touched a lot of lives in Goldsboro, and I hope these gatherings give his family some comfort, knowing they are not alone in their grief and fight for justice.
