Just thinking about the impact this tragedy must have had on Deanna McGirt's family and friends is overwhelming. It's so senseless that she was caught in the middle of a situation and lost her life trying to help others. It makes you wonder what was going through Henry Spivey's mind to escalate things to such a devastating point. My heart goes out to everyone involved, especially to those who loved Deanna. She was robbed of her future and everything she might have achieved. Gun violence leaves so many lives shattered, and it's hard to comprehend the loss and trauma left in its wake. Sending thoughts of healing and peace to her family and to Greg and Jeffrey as they continue to recover and navigate life after that day.
