Rodney's tragic passing has left a lasting void in the community that deeply cherished him. I recently attended the Anson County Domestic Violence Coalition's candlelight vigil, and the stories shared there were profoundly moving. It was clear how much Rodney meant to everyone, from family to friends, and even acquaintances who only met him briefly. What really struck me, though, was the strength of his family during all of this. Their resilience in honoring Rodney’s life while also using this tragedy to speak out against domestic violence is truly commendable. It’s a humbling reminder of how crucial it is to keep discussing and addressing this issue, ensuring victims are heard and supported. Rodney’s story should serve as a wake-up call for all of us to recognize the signs of domestic violence and advocate for those affected. My heart goes out to his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
