Has anyone else been wondering about the history between Dean Williams and Maurice Gardner? It's so upsetting to think about what might have led to such a violent and tragic end in the early hours of December 23, 2016. From what I understand, they lived together at 308 E. 14th St., but they weren't related. I'm curious if anyone in the Washington, NC area has more context. Did they have a friendship, or was there long-standing tension? While Gardner’s criminal history is notable, what really intrigues me is what might have been happening in the house that led to this fatal confrontation. My heart goes out to Dean's family and friends who have to grapple with this unimaginable loss. I'm hoping the investigation sheds more light on their relationship as it progresses.
