I still can't wrap my head around this tragic event in Huntersville. Being local, having heard about Elisa and knowing such a terrible thing happened right in our community is distressing. It's an awful reminder that what we see on the outside doesn't always reflect what's truly going on.
What caught my attention is the neighbors' reports about the gunshots. I wonder if there were any arguments or signs of disturbance prior to the tragedy that might have been overlooked or went unreported. It's unsettling to think that something might’ve been happening, and yet life on Cross Meadow Road went on as usual until that dreadful moment.
