It's hard to comprehend how such a senseless act of violence could happen so close to a place meant for learning and growth like West Charlotte High School. I stumbled onto this story and couldn't help but feel for Keith Ross's family and friends, who have had their lives turned upside down. From everything I've read, Keith seemed like a peaceful guy just living his life, and it's deeply upsetting that this happened in a neighborhood that's usually so calm and tight-knit. I can't imagine what his loved ones are going through, especially since there haven't been any significant leads or arrests. It's frustrating that those responsible continue to remain free. I think the candlelight vigil by the "Dream Team for Peace" is a beautiful way to remember Keith and rally the community for justice. It's a reminder that his life mattered, and people still care. To anyone in the area, if you know or heard anything, even if it seems minor, please consider reaching out anonymously to Crime Stoppers. Every little bit helps. Keith and his family deserve closure, and the community deserves to feel safe again. Stay strong, everyone.
