It's hard to wrap my head around such a senseless loss, but I've been thinking a lot about how Brennan "BB" McNeil was such a positive force in his community. By all accounts, he was one of those rare people who could bring a smile to anyone’s face, and it seems like his love for basketball and kids really defined who he was. I can only imagine how much joy he brought to the children he interacted with. His tragic death is not just a loss to his family but to everyone whose life he touched. Reading about this case, I’m struck by how important it is that we have strong community leaders and mentors like Brennan. It makes me think about how we can all do more to support our neighborhoods to ensure they remain safe spaces where everyone can thrive. It’s deeply unsettling that three individuals, who were young themselves, chose such a destructive path. I hope justice is served swiftly, and that Brennan's family can find some solace as the legal process continues. To all who knew BB, my thoughts are with you in this difficult time. Let’s remember his infectious smile and try to spread some of the positivity he was known for.
