I was browsing some old news articles and discussion boards about Stanley Zdep's disappearance and came across an interesting point that hadn't really sunk in for me before: the Barnegat Inlet can be notoriously tricky to navigate. Living locally, I've heard people talk about how unpredictable the tides and currents can get, even for seasoned boaters. Has anyone else with knowledge of the area weighed in on how much of a role this might've played in Stanley's disappearance? I wonder if something in the water conditions that day contributed to the tragic event. It'd be great if anyone with boating experience in that area could share their thoughts.
