I've been following the tragic events surrounding Bobby McKeithen, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. This whole situation has really made me think about the role of school resource officers in these kinds of incidents. It seems like Officer Blackwell reached Bobby so quickly after the shooting, but I'm curious about what protocols are in place for officers in such situations. Do they have the training and equipment necessary to manage these emergencies effectively? And what about the support systems available to them after experiencing something so traumatic? It’s clear that time is of the essence in these situations, and while the swift response is commendable, I wonder if there’s more that could be done to prevent these tragedies from happening in the first place. Thoughts and insights, anyone?
